350Seattle needed a unique t-shirt design for the indigenous-led, Pull Together campaign, which is funding the legal battle against tar sands pipeline expansion in North America. They commissioned me to create an image that expressed our connection to the life of the waters of the Salish Sea that are threatened by increased oil tanker traffic.
The indigenous peoples of Canada have treaty rights to fish these waters and have not given consent to the Canadian government who is attempting to move forward with the projects anyway.
The benefit and design was such a success that they printed additional bags and t-shirt colors.
The design also became an impactful tool for protests and rallies.
