Seattle folk band Animals of Grace needed art for their album, Songs of Shattering, which features the poems of Edna St. Vincent Milay as lyrics.
In the poems chosen for Songs of Shattering, Millay expresses her deep connection to nature, to its beauty which made her come alive. There is also a thread of longing throughout, as Millay had moved from her rural home in Maine for the city.
